Global Citizen Passport | Evening Cohort

A 1 week live online language and culture journey for children ages 5 to 10.

Students meet every day for a week.  Students travel to 5 countries while building their own Global Citizen Passport at home.

Length: 40 minutes per class

Country Journey

Ghana (Twi) | Somalia (Somali) |Tanzania (Kiswahili) | Bioko Island (Bubi) | Colombia (Spanish)

What Children Will Experience

  • Greetings and beginner phrases
  • Country identity and cultural introduction
  • Geography, landmarks, ocean, and location learning
  • Flag activities and meaning
  • Passport page creation
  • Speaking practice and country celebration

Curriculum Structure

Day 1: Ghana | Twi

Explore Ghana through Twi greetings and simple phrases, cultural traditions, geography, flag meaning, music, food, and a passport activity.

Day 2: Somalia | Somali

Discover Somalia through Somali greetings and basic phrases, cultural traditions, geography, flag meaning, food, music, and a passport activity.

Day 3: Tanzania | Kiswahili

Travel to Tanzania through Kiswahili greetings and useful phrases, cultural traditions, geography, flag meaning, music, food, and a passport activity.

Day 4: Bioko Island | Bubi

Explore Bioko Island and the Bubi people through Bubi language, cultural traditions, geography, identity, food, music, and a passport activity.

Day 5: Colombia | Spanish

Finish the journey in Colombia with Spanish greetings and phrases, cultural traditions, geography, flag meaning, music, food, and a final passport activity.

Materials

Parents will receive printable materials before the program begins, including passport pages, country flags, and stamp based activities for each child to assemble at home.
